The struggle, the journey, the pilgrimage - call it what you will. For the one in Christ it is for one purpose, and one purpose alone. It is to bring us to the place where we understand and internalize that Christ is the ALL in ALL. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, from eternity past to infinity future.
He is the Destiny of Predestination -- whether we know it or not.
