At Y NOT?, it's not about warming a pew. It's not about looking into the back of a stranger's head sitting in a row of noses. It's not about being a nameless face in a faceless crowd. It's not about a three point outlined sermon you forget before you get home.
Instead, it's about helping you build Your Life, Your Dreams, Your Ministry, and helping others do the same. It's about reproducing the life of Christ. It's about returning to the free, spontaneous, exponential growth the church experienced in the first three centuries. It's about taking it back home where the heart is, where it started, and where it belongs!

At Y NOT?, nothing is more important than your Freedom in Christ, and exhorting you to reach your Greatest Potential for the Kingdom of God. It's what He came to set us free for - to Empower us all for Christ Centered Living. It's the greatest fulfillment that life offers. To grow in Christ, and experience the joy that comes from helping others do the same.
The questions are these. Are you a consumerist, or on a mission? Are you willing to sacrifice, and surrender your rights for the kingdom of God? Or, are you just a spectator who likes to show up for the Sunday dog and pony show? Are you willing to take hold of that for which Christ took hold of you? Or, will you continue to turn it over to a Sunday speaker, and let him do it for you? It's YOUR choice!
At Y NOT?, we're not in anyway suggesting there are not times for rest and relaxation - to enjoy times of laying back to 'enjoy the view'. What we are saying is the institutional church has become all about a once a week, Simon Says one hour dog and pony show. It turns God's people into spectators, mindless drones, and consumers there to cruise along - to take in the scenery. Is that what Jesus intended? Of course not.
At Y NOT?, we believe there comes a time when you stop sucking on the bottle, and take hold of that which Christ took hold of you. Christ empowered His ministry into every one of us. Although stifled and stripped away through institutional Christianity, we inherited His individual priesthood. It's our ministry through Him.
He came to set us free of the very religious systems the institutional church propagates. It's dominated and controlled by the few, the professional clergy, at the expense of the common good for all. It's chained and shackled to the Status Quo, the enemy of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. In other words, the institutional church is not the church Jesus came to build.
The ministry of Jesus grew in warm, open, intimate, transparent environments that met primarily in the home, and grew out of the home. In the third century Roman Emperor Constantine took it out of the home, and placed the church in staid, static, impersonal, spectator driven environments. It stifled the Holy Spirit, and drained the power out of the church. We're to follow the example Jesus set, and the early church provided. Not the one by Constantine that the institutional church follows even unto today.
